Policies and processes

Policy documents reflect the organisation and it’s commitment to diversity management. By taking a look at current policy and adapting or re-inventing it can be a positive start to the diversity management process. The policy below is a comprehensive statement by the Environment Agency on Diversity within its organisation. Environmental Agency Diversity Policy

Voluntary Sector Organisations

‘CREATE Equal Opportunities policy document.’ The Food and Drink Forum produced a report on migrant workers examining the skills and aspirations of migrant workers, for The East Midlands Development Agency. Examples of best practice can be found on page 29. A Skills passport has also been developed to identify transferable skills for workers with, limited English and moving from employer to employer, page 36.
Particular regional requirements are for ESOL and IT training to increase the migrant workers skills. Foodcampus
