Measuring where your organisation is at the moment
The diversity management model identifies a series of toolkits which can be used to assess where your organisation is as a barometer of diversity.
The organisation needs to examine its current culture and practice before deciding how to proceed. Do you have a diversity champion on the board or in senior management? Who monitors diversity and equal opportunities presently? How do you know about the composition of your workforce, your suppliers and your customers? Are there diversity issues arising already that confront the management teams?
